Crocus Sundress for 4-inch Doll

Difficulty level: ** Easy

Free Doll Dress Crochet Pattern

Materials: Aunt Lydia (affiliate link)'s crochet thread Size #10 - 1 ball

Hook US 4 (2.0) mm

Gauge is not important

Directions:

Chain 5, leaving about 3" long end.


Row 1: ch 2 (counts as the first sc), sc 4, turn
Row 2: ch 2, sc 4, turn
Row 3: ch 2, sc 4, ch 5, turn

Row 4: ch 1, sc 10, ch 5, turn

Row 5: ch 1, sc 15; turn
Row 6: ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc in the same st, * 2 dc in one st*  repeat from * across the row  = 31 sts, turn

Row 7: ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc 30, turn

The first petal:
Row 1: ch 2, sc 5, turn

Row 2: ch 2, sc 5, turn
Row 3: ch 2, skip 1 st, sc 4, turn
Row 4: ch 2, skip 1 st, sc 3, turn
Row 5: ch 2, skip 1 st, sc 2, turn,
Row 6: ch 2, skip 1 st. sc 1, turn
Row 7: ch 1, sc 1, tie off and cut the yarn



The second petal:
Insert the hook into the last base st of the first petal, draw a yarn loop, ch 1, sc 5, turn,
work as the first petal.

Work the remaining 4 petals as the second one.

Weave in the ends of the yarn on the petal tips.
Using the end of the yarn on the bodice, ch 4. Secure to the upper edge of the skirt.

Make another strap the same way.

Cut a piece of ribbon about 10" long and insert it in the upper row of the skirt. Put the dress on the doll, tie the ends of the ribbon.

I was about to print it, but I found that it came to 6 pages, moastly unnecessary pictures. The instructions and one picture of the finished product could have fit into one page. Then I looked at the printable version and found that it came to 8 pages! So I said forget it.

You don't need to print all the pages. Just copy and paste the entire pattern into you office program and delete the parts that you don't need. If you have a problem with that just let me know.
