Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
ch-space – chain space
V-st = (dc, ch 1, dc) in chain-space of the V-st from the previous row
Cowl
The cowl is crocheted back and forth in rows, then seamed. The fringe is worked along the rows, between turns, on one side.
Chain 31
Row 1: ch 3, skip 1, *V-st in next ch, skip 2 ch, repeat 9 more times from *, end with skip 1 ch, 1 dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: ch 25, 1 sc in the 10th ch from the hook, (ch 5, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch) 2 times, ch 4, skip 3 ch, sc in next ch, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in dc, (V-st in next V-st) 10 times, 1 dc in top of c-3.
Row 3: ch 3, (V-st in next V-st) 10 times, 1 dc in last dc, turn.
Repeat rows 2-3 62 times or to desired length. Join the ends of the cowl with sc. Tie off.
Finishing
Block the cowl.
