Free Doll Hat Crochet Pattern

Materials: Aunt Lydia (affiliate link)'s crochet thread Size #10 – small amount.

Crochet hook 2.00 mm OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 7 dc = 1"

Abbreviations:

sl st = slip stitch

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

Hat

Hat is worked from top down in rounds.

Chain 6, join with slip stitch to make a ring.

Round 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 11 dc into the ring, join with slip stitch to the top chain of 3-chain-space.

Round 2: ch 6 (counts as 1 sc and 5-chain space), skip 1 dc, *1 sc in the next dc, ch 5, skip 1 dc* repeat 5 times, join with slip stitch to the first chain in 6-chain space.

Round 3: ch 6 (counts as 1 sc and ch 5), sc into the 3rd chain of the 5-chain-space, ch 5, sc in the sc, *ch 5, sc into the 3rd chain of the 5-chain-space, ch 5, sc in the sc, repeat from * to the last 5-chain space, ch 5, sc in 3rd chain of the last 5-chain-space.

Round 4: ch 5, sc into the 4th chain of the 6-chain space, *ch 5, sc into the 3rd chain of the next 5-chain-space – repeat from * 10 times to the end of the round.

Round 5: *ch 7, sc into the 3rd chain of the 5-chain-space – repeat from * 11 times to the end of the round.

Rounds 6 through 10: *ch 7, sc into the 4th chain of the 7-chain-space – repeat from * 11 times to the end of the round.

Round 11: 1 sc in each chain and sc of the round. Join with slip stitch .

Round 12: ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and 1 ch), *skip one sc, dc in the next sc – repeat from * to the end of the round. Join with slip stitch to the top chain of 3-chain-space. Tie off. Cut thread.
