Directions.
The cardigan is worked from top to bottom, back and forth without seams.

Cast on 33 sts and purl 1 row.
Divide stitches as follows: 1 edge st, 1 st (left front), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 5 sts (left sleeve), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 15 sts (back), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 5 sts (right sleeve), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 1 sts (right front), 1 edge st.
Work stockinette st for 44 (48, 56, 60) rows increasing for 8 sts (double increase at the raglan sts)  in each odd row as follows: M1, k1, M1 at the raglan st. At the same time increase for 1 st at the beginning and the end of the row (2 sts per row) in rows 1, 3, 5.
To shape the neckline:
Row 6: purl, cast on 5 sts at the end of the row.
Row 7: knit, increase for 8 sts at raglan lines, cast on 5 sts at the end of the row.

Divide for sleeves
Row 45 (49, 57, 61): work left front sts, transfer left sleeve sts to a length of yarn, cast on 3 (3, 5, 7) sts with single cast on, work back sts, transfer right sleeve sts to a length of yarn, cast on 3 (3, 5, 7) sts with single cast on and work right front stitches.

Continue to work bodice back and forth for 20 more rows or until desired length. Bind off.

Sleeve
Sleeves are worked in rounds.
Transfer sleeve sts from the yarn to the needles and pick up 3 (3, 5, 7) sts over the 3 (3, 5, 7) underarm sts. Work ribbing 1x1 for 8 rounds. Bind off.

Finishing
Crochet 10 rows of sc along the fronts, the bottom and the neckline. Increase for 2 sc in the corners of the button bands in every row. In row 5 make 2 button holes by working *ch2, skip 2st*.
Sew on 2 buttons.

If you don't crochet, you can finish the cardigan with applied I-cord.
