Pattern
Two-Tone V-Stitch:
Multiple of 3
V-stitch (V-st) - 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc into the same st or the same ch-1-space.
With yarn A chain multiple of 3 plus 3
Row 1 (yarn A): V-st into 5th st from the hook, *skip 2 ch, V-st into next ch*, repeat to the end of the row until 2 ch remain, skip 1 ch, 1 dc into the last ch. Do NOT turn.
Row 2: (yarn B): join color B at the beginning of the row, ch 3 in the ch, *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the row, 1 dc into the last dc. TURN.
Row 3 (yarn A): pick up yarn A from row 1, ch 5, *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the row, 1 dc into the last dc. Do NOT turn.
Row 4 (yarn B) pick up yarn B from row 2, ch 5, *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the row, 1 dc into the last dc. TURN.
Row 5 (yarn A): pick up yarn A from row 3, ch 5, *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the row, 1 dc into the last dc. Do NOT turn.
Row 6 (yarn B) pick up yarn B from row 4, ch 5, *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the row, 1 dc into the last dc. TURN.
Repeat rows 3-6.
Two-Tone V-Stitch in rounds:
Multiple of 3
V-stitch (V-st) - 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc into the same st or the same ch-1-space.
With yarn A chain multiple of 3, join and continue to work in rounds.
Row 1 (yarn A): [ch 3, 1 dc] in the 2nd st (counts as V-st), *skip 2 ch, V-st into next ch*, repeat to the end of the round, join with sl st to the ch 3.
Round 2: (yarn B): [ch 3, 1 dc] in the 1st V-st (counts as V-st), *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the round, join with sl st to the ch 3.
Round 3: (yarn A): [ch 3, 1 dc] in the 1st V-st (counts as V-st), *V-st into the ch-1-sp of the previous row V-st*, repeat to the end of the round, join with sl st to the ch 3.
Repeat rounds 2-3.
Triple V-Stitch Increase:
[1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] into the same ch-1-space.
Next row: V-st into each ch-1-space.
Double V-Stitch Increase:
[1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] into the same ch-1-space.
Next row: V-st into each ch-1-space.
Directions:
With yarn A chain 66 (69, 69, 69, 75, 81).
Row 1: V-st into the 5th st from the hook, *skip 2 ch, V-stitch*, repeat 17 (17, 17, 17, 19, 21) times, 1 dc in the last ch. Total 21 (22, 22, 22, 24, 26) V-sts. Do NOT turn.
Divide V-sts as follows:
1 - left front,
1 - raglan line, place marker,
4 - left sleeve,
1 - raglan line, place marker,
7 (8, 8, 8, 10, 12) - back,
1 - raglan line, place marker,
4 - right sleeve,
1 - raglan line, place marker.
1 - right front.
Make Triple V-st increase at raglan line in every even row starting from row 2. All raglan increases are made in blue rows.
To shape the V-Neck make Double V-st increase at the beginning and the end of the row in rows 4, 7, 10, 13, 16
Row 2: with yarn B: follow the pattern (see above) making 4 Triple V-st increases at the raglan lines.
Work 25 (27, 29, 31, 33, 35) rows.
Row 26 (28, 30, 32, 34, 36): with yarn B, work front V-sts including raglan line V-st, ch 9 (9, 9, 9, 15, 15), work raglan line V-st, all back V-sts, raglan line V-st, ch 9 (9, 9, 9, 15, 15), work raglan V-st and front V-sts.
Row 27 (29, 31, 33, 35, 37): with yarn A: work front V-sts including raglan line V-st, 3 (3, 3, 3, 5, 5) V-sts for the underarm, work raglan line V-st, all back V-sts, raglan line V-st, 3 (3, 3, 3, 5, 5) V-sts for the underarm, work raglan V-st and front V-sts.
Rows 28-44 (30-46, 32-48, 34-50, 36-52, 38-54): work as row 27 (29, 31, 33, 35, 37) In row 44 (46, 48, 50, 52, 54) make a double V-st increase in the center of the back.
Place markers at the middle V-st of the 3 (3, 3, 3, 5, 5) left underarm V-stitches, at the center back V-stitch and at the middle V-st of the 3 (3, 3, 3, 5, 5) right underarm V-stitches.
Rows 45-48 (47-50, 49-52, 51-54, 53-56, 55-58): to work chain decoration: on both sides of the marked V-sts replace V-st with ch 3 as follows: ch 3, skip V-st, V-st (marked), ch 3, skip V-st.
Rows 49-52 (51-54, 53-56, 55-58, 57-60, 59-62): on both sides of the marked V-sts replace 2 V-sts with ch 3 as follows: ch 6, skip 2 V-sts, V-st (marked), ch 6, skip 2 V-sts.
Rows 53-56 (55-58, 57-60, 59-62, 61-64, 63-66): on both sides of the marked V-sts replace 3 V-sts with ch 3 as follows: ch 9, skip 3 V-sts, V-st (marked), ch 9, skip 3 V-sts.
Rows 57-60 (59-62, 61-64, 63-66, 65-68, 67-70): on both sides of the marked V-sts replace 4 V-sts with ch 3 as follows: ch 12, skip 4 V-sts, V-st (marked), ch 12, skip 4 V-sts.
Rows 61-71 (63-73, 65-75, 67-77, 69-79, 71-81): on both sides of the marked V-sts replace 5 V-sts with ch 3 as follows: ch 15, skip 5 V-sts, V-st (marked), ch 15, skip 5 V-sts.
Tie off.
Sleeve
Place marker at the center of the sleeve. Work Two-Tone V-Stitich pattern in rounds for 16 rounds. Work 3 V-sts over the bodice underarm V-sts.
Rounds 1-4: to make chain decoration" work ch 3 instead of marked V-stitch.
Rounds 5-8: work ch 9, replacing 3 V-sts
Rounds 9-12: work ch 15 replacing 5 V-sts
Rounds 13-16: work ch 21, replacing 7 V-sts.
Tie off.
Finishing.
With yarn A crochet 4 rows of single crochet along the neckline and fronts. Tie off.
