Short Overview of the Pattern:

The shawl is worked in Granny Square pattern. Seven separate motifs are connected with bridges into one-piece shawl. The change of colors emphasizes the direction of the crocheting.


Granny Square

With C1 (black) ch 10, join with sl st to make a ring.

Round 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 2 dc in the ring, (ch 3, 3 dc in the ring) repeat 3 times, ch 3, sl st to ch-3.

Round 2: ch 5, (counts as 1 dc and ch 2), [(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3-sp, ch 2] repeat 3 times, (3 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next ch-3-sp, sl st to ch-3.
