Finished measurements: length 78” (165 cm), width 7” (18 cm)

Materials: 100% mohair fingering weight yarn, 25 gr – 3 balls.

Needles: circular 40” long US #10 (6.00 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 8 sts x 16 rows = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm) in lace pattern, blocked.

Notions: yarn needle

Abbreviations:

k - knit

p - purl

yo - yarn over

k2tog - knit 2 together

ssk - (slip, slip, knit) : slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time, to right needle; insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and knit them tog – 1 st decreased.
RS – right side

pm - place marker
sm - slip marker

Short Overview of the Pattern:

The infinity scarf is worked sideways, in-the-round. If you would like to knit shorter scarf, cast on less stitches, multiple of 8. The pattern requires amount of stitches multiple of 8 +1.

Scarf

Very loosely cast on 161 sts, join to the beginning and continue to work in rounds. Place marker at the end of the round.

Round 1: K6, k2tog, yo, (k6, k2tog, yo) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 2: P5, k2tog, yo, p1, (p5, k2tog, yo, p1) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Round 3: K4, k2tog, yo, k2, (k4, k2tog, yo, k2) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 4: P3, k2tog, yo, p3, (p3, k2tog, yo, p3) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Round 5: K2, k2tog, yo, k4, (k2, k2tog, yo, k4) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 6: P1, k2tog, yo, p5, (p1, k2tog, yo, p5) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Round 7: K2tog, yo, k6, (k2tog, yo, k6) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 8: Yo, ssk, p6, (yo, ssk, p6) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Round 9: K1, yo, ssk, k5, (k1, yo, ssk, k5) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 10: P2, yo, ssk, p4, (p2, yo, ssk, p4) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Round 11: K3, yo, ssk, k3, (k3, yo, ssk, k3) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 12: P4, yo, ssk, p2, (p4, yo, ssk, p2) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Round 13: K5, yo, ssk, k1, (k5, yo, ssk, k1) 19 times, k1. (161 sts)

Round 14: P6, yo, ssk, (p6, yo, ssk) 19 times, p1. (161 sts)

Repeat rounds 1-14 once.

Bind off.

Finishing:

Weave in all yarn ends. Block.
