Doll Sunshine Bag

Difficulty level: * Beginner

Free Doll Bag Crochet Pattern

Materials: Aunt Lydia (affiliate link)'s 100% Mercerized Cotton fingering weight thread, Size 3, 150yd/138m, color - Yellow – 0.5 ball.

Hook: C (2.75mm)

Gauge: 12 dc = 2" (5 cm)

Abbreviations:

ch = chain
st(s) = stitch(es)
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = hlf double crochet
dc = double crochet
V-stitch (V-st) - (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) into ch 1 of the V-stitch of the prev. row
Shell - (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) into the ch-1 of the prev row shell.

Bag

The bag consists of 2 circles connected at the edge.

Circle

Chain 4, join with sl st to make ring.
Round 1: ch2 (counts as hdc), 11 hdc into the ring, sl st to ch2 = 12 hdc
Round 2: ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in the same st, 22 dc (2 dc in each st). sl st to ch 3 = 24 dc
Round 3: ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in the same st, hdc in the next st. *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in the next st rep. rep from * to the end of the round, sl st to ch 2 = 36 hdc
Round 4: ch 1, 1 sc in each st, sl st to ch 1.
Round 5: ch 3, *skip 1 ch, V-st in the next st, rep to the end of the round, sl st to ch 3.
Round 6 : ch 2, 1 hdc in every st, sl st to ch 2.

Finishing (bag edge and handle)

Make 2 circles, position them together, back to back. Ch 50. Do not cut yarn, start to connect the circles with sc through sts of the last round of both circles. Connect 2/3 of the way around the circles. Connect to the beginning of the chain and continue making sc on the chain. Make another full round of sc around the circles and the handle. Tie off

Thank you for your beautiful crochet free doll clothes patterns. I am 72 and have started crocheting again. Have not crocheted since I was in my teens so I am "re-learning" and love your patterns. Again thank you. Your work is beautiful.
