Free Scarf Knitting Pattern
This scarf is great for the fall and winter. The diagonal striping creates interest. At the same time, it's quick to knit and pretty easy, even for a less experienced knitter.
The scarf is knitted sideways on a bias, in garter stitch. For best results, knit the scarf with self-striping yarn that has short color changes, such as Noro (affiliate link) or similar yarn.

Short Overview of the Pattern:
The scarf is knitted sideways on a bias, in garter stitch. The scarf begins with 3 st, then the increases (make 1) are worked in every right side row, until the required width is achieved. Then the scarf is worked with increases (make 1) at the beginning of the row and decreases (k2tog) at the end of the row until the desired length. Lastly, the stitches are decreased at the beginning and the end of the row. The decreases are worked until there are 3 sts left. Place the stitch marker to mark the right side of the scarf.
