Boy, my knitting must be REALLY off - when I knit this pattern using worsted weight and size 4 needles I get a hat that will fit a baby about 4 to 6 months old and using size 6 needles I get a hat that will fit a one year old... My guage doesn't usually vary so much as it does with this pattern. :(
