I love this shawl! I have been knitting for years. However, my neighbor, who is a better than average knitter, and I are unable to follow the pattern. We can follow rows 1-16, but do not understand how to procede. I understand to increase the four stitches, but do not understand how to incorporate the lace diamond pattern into the design. I do not understand about the other increases and how to make the stitch count correct. Can you possibly help me? I have tried and tried to work this out. Thanks for any help that you can give.
