After my 6th failed attempt, I need help with the directions. Could you please clarify? #1: Do I need to start each even pattern row with sl 1, k1 and end each even pattern row with k1, p1... #2: If I am using circular needles, am I knitting circular, and if so does this mean I don't need to join the back seam and therefore don't need the extra 4 stitches. EG Cast on 124 stitches, pattern consists of 10 stitches repeated 12 times = 120 stitches. Thank You in Advance.
