Should be multiple of 25 plus 5. If you do 20 your always left 5 stitches short or its multiple of 20 add 10. Either way I've always had to go back and add 5 stitches.

Sorry to ask what I am sure is a silly question, but how do you decrease in the 2nd row? I tried but then could not get the 3rd row to work so I think I went wrong in the 2nd row. I cant get the directions and the picture to match up so I'm stuck. I end up with dc in the chain space right before where the decrease should be, and when I try to decrease, it says to dc in the next chain space and there isn't one.

Is there a chance for a possible video tutorial? I seem to get confused when I end/ begin a row. Was just wondering since sometimes a visual demonstration sometimes is the trick. thank you for the lovely pattern.

I had a difficult time at first, I think I just had a difficult time deciphering the instructions. What I found helpful was to copy and paste the instructions o. word document and break the steps up step by step. After that it was smooth sailing. I haven't finished yet but so far it looks beautiful. Thank you for allowing me to use the pattern.

I am wanting to use this pattern for a twin size bed coverlet. Could you tell me if it is 66w x 54l or 66 length x 54 width. If you have the number of repeats for this size that would be most helpful

Thank you so much for sharing your pattern, absolutely love it. This will be my first afghan and I am so excited to use your pattern. Everything is going well, but I found that you have to count the posts(there are 5 posts) on your afghan and not the diagram. The diagram is so nice to have so you can figure out the pattern. Thanx again

most genenerally you will do the first instruction, and then repeat it the number of times listed. so the actual pattern that is repeated 3 times will actually be done 4 times. the pattern repeated 16 times will actually be done 17 times. if that is the case then the diagram is correct. i will also rewrite the confusing patterns thanks to a coworker, she rewrites them in a spreadsheet and makes boxes to check off for the different times of pattern repeats hope this helps

I have tried this in the first row about 5 times. My 16 times turns into 13 times with too many stitches at the end. I have counted my chain several times also and get 345. Should I just do three times not 4?

Is there a video demonstrating how to make this? I am just now learning how to crochet, I do not understand how to read the directions yet. I have basically learned by watching videos thus far.
Thank you, Dallas

I really like the way this pattern looks, but I am having a heck of a time making this pattern work. I tried with the directions that are given, but by the time you get to row 3, it does not work. At first I thought I had missed something so I did it from the start a 2nd & 3rd time. I've also tried re-vamping the pattern, and I'm not able to get it to work either. Any help would be appreciated. Or if anybody knows of a similar pattern, if you would share that would be great.

I finished my afghan a couple months ago and it is beautiful. Now I would like to make another for a friend. However, it is not coming out again. How many stitches does it take for each section? The last time I just had to keep adjusting until I got something that worked but can't remember how I did it. Help please

I too like this pattern and I am self teaching myself. I would like to know if there is someway to have this pattern printed in its entirety? There is no one around where I live that can help me decipher this so I can just crochet. I also do not understand a lot of the pattern.

Any easy fix to enlarge or reduce the overall size is to change the hook size up or down. For a smaller afghan, use an "F" hook, crochet a gauge swatch and see if you like the results. For a larger afghan jump up to an "H" hook and repeat the gauge swatch to check before beginning.

In changing the size and casting/chrochetinh the first row.
I usually use to instructions given. If I want to do a baby one; I count number of stitches in a repeat then. Multiple that number by the number of times you want to repeat. Ex, 11 stitches makes the pattern x by 9 =99 + 2. (This (2). I use one per 100 stitches. Total 101. Let me know if this works for you. If, we’ll try again.

I love the beauty and simplicity of this afghan. Could this be stitched in a ww yarn provided the gauge is met?
Also does anyone by chance know the numbers to increase the afghan's width about 4 in and length 6 in(72 in x 60 in dimentions)?

I have started this afghan and find the pattern very difficult and have been unable to figure it out. I am fairly new to crochet, but have been able to figure out most of the patterns I have tried. Is there a way to check to see if it is me or is it really a difficult pattern?

This is a beautiful pattern. Have so many afghans already but this is to pretty to pass up. For those that have more than they need but can't stop. A good idea - I crocheted 15 for a nursing home this past year and really enjoyed.
