I also would like to know how long the fringe should be. How far apart should they be placed. I’m almost finished and I’m very happy with the results. Beautiful pattern. Thank you.

Selvedge sts are included in the pattern. The first and the last stitches are selvedge sts.

I'd like a clarification on the pattern. If I cast on 99 and it says selvage edge is not included, I assume I cast on 101 stitches, but in the pattern it states slip 1 so it is already included in the directions, but it is ending with P1. I read 7 comments and that question was raised. It I did not see an answer. Thank you.

How do you suggest blocking this shawl? I don't want to squish the pattern too much.

how can I make this narrower? 24" is too wide, how about 12 to 14 inches? Thanks!

Try a multiple of 8 plus 3
Make a swatch to determine how many stitches are needed for desired width.

This is a pretty pattern. I would like to know if the "edge" stitches are included in the CO 99 stitches. Also, it says to slip the first edge stitch and purl the last, but are the second and second to last knitted? Thank you.

Not sure what the selvedge stitches are like?
