I have a light up F hook /4.0mm.
Is this the same as 1.75mm?
I am making the brim hat for a18 inch doll and it appears already to big for a doll. What hook should I use to make the right size for a 18 inch doll .

I used a D hook with #10 cotton thread. It came out the right size for American Girl dol

One ball of each color will be sufficient for the outfit.

I have made 14 sets of the complete outfit and hat. I had to use smaller hook for hat and add a few extra stitches for waist of skirt to make it easier to put on doll. Other than that I love the patterns and have had a lot of fun making them in various colors. Thanks for all your patterns.

Thank you for this pattern, I love it! I used baby yarn and a size e hook. Did 7 rounds for the top instead of 11. I made the first hat with the brim, and two more without the brim and tried out different stitch patterns in the section around the head without the increases. They all turned out super cute and fit my AG doll perfectly!

If I made the hat, skirt and top, how many balls of cotton would I need?

I did this hat using a 4.00 mm hook and red heart super saver worsted weight yarn. It fits a 12-18 month old girl. Now onto the wrap top, and then the skirt.

This does not look like you are using #10 cotton. What else can you use?
